Recent changes in curriculum, both for humanities and sciences, have many parents wondering what it’s all about, and why the changes are being made. One goal of the common core curriculum is to develop better practical application for skills such as reading or math; educators want students to do more than just understand an idea or concept; the students should be able to do something meaningful with the ideas they learn.
